Humanity Worldwide completes construction of transitional shelters for displaced families in South Sudan.
Humanity Worldwide has completed construction of transitional shelter units for displaced families in South Sudan.
Each shelter is a semi-permanent structure featuring plastered walls, corrugated iron roofing, and a reinforced door — providing durability and weather resistance for families who had been living in temporary plastic sheeting.
The project prioritised female-headed households and families with persons with disabilities, ensuring the most vulnerable received shelter first.
'This is the first solid home I have had in five years,' said one beneficiary mother in Akobo. 'My children can sleep without fear of rain or wind.'
